A successful recovery after a stroke depends on the existing health care services. DigitiVation AS wants to extend these by providing stroke patients with training equipment (advanced sensors and sophisticated smart device apps) they can use both in the institutions and in their homes. From home they connect with their trained professionals, and training continues after leaving the rehabilitation institutions.
Stroke patients initially start up with rehabilitation programs within institutions, where trained professionals, specific instructions, purpose designed facilities and technologically sophisticated equipment ensures an efficient recovery progress.
Once patients are discharged, they return home without the necessary equipment and professional assistance to support them in their exercises. As a result, patients lose hope and motivation, and their recovery falls short of their potential.
Recovery stagnation prevents people from resuming their previous active life. Socio-economically, it has a double effect when contributing citizens prematurely become highly dependent on social and medical welfare… for the rest of their lives.
DigitVation AS is developing a software for stroke survivors and elderly.
We have a close collaboration with Landsforeningen for slagrammede in order to meet the patient’s actual needs. With more time and cost efficient solutions, DigitVation plans to prove the value of the solutions to attract other customers.
